This livestream was a wonderful introduction to my 3 month series on ‘Honouring Our Ancestors’. Our current worldwide pandemic has increased the spiritual tempo and fervor in the hearts of people. It seems that in order for us to transform we need to reclaim our Ancestors, heal our wounds and remember our dead. We all know that a tree can only grow tall and connect with the heavens if it connects with its roots. Nature is teaching us about connection.

In the Western world there is too much shame and guilt over ancestors. Humanity is messy. No-one is perfect and the earth is not nirvana. Our earthly experience is all about dualism. To connect with Ubuntu (Humanity), is not to connect with perfection, but to accept the vulnerability and frailty of the human condition. We need to treat our foreparents with compassion and only then can we heal the sins of colonialism and other traumas which our current generation has inherited.

Join me for a time to remember our Bones and learn some ancient techniques to connect with your people. My inspiration is my Sangoma apprenticeship and my Irish heritage. For the songs of my people move through my dreams and into the world of flesh & bone. Let me show you how easy it is to live in community with your Ancestors. Don’t be afraid! It’s easy!
