European Sangoma tour - london - Dublin - geneva
John will be leading sangoma ceremonies and events in 3 main European centres in October. The focus of the tour is about helping people to connect to their inner wildness. This includes ancestors, nature spirits and the natural world. The events will feature John chanting in the Xhosa language and drumming his ‘isiguba’ or sangoma drum. It is said that when a sangoma drums the ancestral spirits wake up and bring wisdom and ‘indaba’ (spirit news) to the living. In our changing world which if full of chaos and friction John will bring the sangoma teachings of ‘Masiyembo’, an old sangoma chant, which means “let us remember the old ones”. The positive side of chaos is transformation and the promise of enlightenment, wisdom and soul food.
John’s tour will use the energy of rhythm, song and stories to uplift people.
