Trauma and pain can be passed down family lines. Sangomas beleive that part of the responsibility of the living is to tend to our dead, to help heal our ancestors. As we do this we heal the living and spread more empathy and consciousness into the current generations.

In South Africa when people receive the ‘thwaza’ or calling illness to become a sangoma there are many reasons why someone is chosen. Many people maintain that one kind of calling is to help heal unwell ancestors. As the initiate goes through the rigorous apprenticiship with ceremony, plant cleanses and intensive prayer, they heal their traumatized ancestors.

Time: 10am Pacific (Seattle), 1pm EST (New York), 6pm UK (London), 7pm South Africa (Cape Town). If you can’t make it live don’t worry you will receive the recording afterwards.

Each Webinar runs as a ceremony with a guided meditation, some chanting and an invocation in isiXhosa to lift the energy. They last 75 mins.

John will give a 20 min talk to introduce this month’s theme. People can then ask questions.

NB: These Monthly Webinars are part of a monthly subscription of $30 USD, cancel anytime.
