On Sunday I will discuss the Rise of the Goddess as it pertains to one of the 3 keystone species in the Okavango Delta, namely termites. Termites are matriarchal and all activities are coordinated by their queen many meters below the earth, close to the water table. In many ways the termite mound pointing to the sky, represents the ‘rise and omniscience of the Goddess’ in the natural world.

I will also discuss the phenomenon of two spirits in traditional cultures like North American Indian; and how certain people are seen as possessing two spirits, male and female. These would often be the medicine, creative or artistic people in the culture. In our modern world there seems to be a growing awareness of the fluidity of gender as witnessed by the growth of transgender communities. This is a positive sign and represents the ‘rise of the goddess’ or feminine consciousness in humanity.

How can we as human beings learn from the natural world? In particular in how to embrace the feminine. How can we surrender, let go, and trust ? The natural world is all about yielding, listening and then taking action if it’s been called for.

This webinar will include a few guided meditations to deepen our connection to the ‘goddess’ and the primordial soup of feminine energy which permeates the natural world.
