Free Webinar: Dreams & Tracking in the Kalahari Desert

Join John Lockley, African Shaman and teacher, for an animated discussion on his spectacular 'Dreams & Tracking in the Kalahari' retreats. John will be hosted by Shaman Portal and interviewed by Chris Thurow.

This is the only retreat of it's kind in Africa today that focuses on sharing indigenous African technology through teaching people how to connect to their ancestors, dreams and power animals. John leads them every year in Feb/March. He will talk about the retreat as an adventure exploring inner and outer tracking. He teaches the inner tracking component focusing on ancestors, dreams and plant medicine; while his colleague Alwyn Myburgh teaches outer tracking involving interspecies dialogue, animal communication and tracking. Every year they are joined by San Bushmen elders who take them on a medicinal foraging hike through the bushveld. The San are reputed to be the oldest indigenous tribe in the world.

The webinar will include a slide show, highlighting the beauty of the landscape and animals in the Kalahari & Okavango Delta. Special guests will feature previous retreat participants who will share some of their experiences. Webinar attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about one of the wildest places left on planet earth.

John will include a few special teachings to do with animal totems or power animals. A traditional African Shamanic calling often involves an experience with a wild animal in the spirit world. This might necessitate a pilgrimage on behalf of the Shaman into the wild to make contact with a particular animal. John will share some of his unique story in connecting with a wild leopard in Botswana in the mid 80’s. John’s Kalahari retreat speaks to this mystical tradition of animal and interspecies communication on a profound level. Sangomas journey with the drum and voice to help people connect to their ancestors and animal spirits. This special webinar will include a guided meditation with John playing his drum and chanting in the traditional sangoma way. Prepare to be enchanted.

The webinar will start at 3pm NYC / 8pm UK. The participation is free but registration is required. All ticket holders will receive the link to recording which will be valid for 30 days and will be added to the ShamanPortal and John Lockley's Newsletter (you can unsubscribe at any time).
