Dear Subscriber First Name, For those new subscribers, WELCOME to my newsletter for all things nature, ancestor, meditation, dreams and Southern Africa related. ✨💕🦁 Our third monthly webinar on Ancestral Practice is this Saturday 26th June. It is called ‘Entering the 3rd Doorway’, Connecting with Nature Spirits, Animals & Plants’. Time: 10am Pacific (Seattle), 1pm EST (New York), 6pm UK (London), 7pm South Africa (Cape Town). If you can’t make it live don’t worry you will receive the recording afterwards. Connecting with Nature spirits could be considered the third doorway in Ancestral Practice. The first door is connecting with our own spirit (making peace with our soul), then the second door is our blood Ancestors and finally the ‘silent hidden ones’ or nature spirits. Nature is alive and is watching us. As we make offerings, pray, meditate and center ourselves we start to connect more deeply with the subtle realms of nature. Many traditional cultures around the world speak about portals in the natural world, thin spaces where we can transition to access the nature spirits or more subtle realms. In South Africa we do this through singing, making offerings and listening to our Dreams. Life is mysterious, sometimes we connect first with nature spirits through dreams, plant medicine or visions; embarking us on a soul journey to find ourselves & our people. We enter the various doorways when we are ready and when we are called. As children of nature we have to listen to the call. What is the wind of your spirit saying to you? I recall starting to my journey as a sangoma apprentice in 1996 and then receiving dreams of nature spirits whilst working in London a few years later. The dream was vivid, explicit and took me completely by surprise because it involved the heart of nature. My day job was working in one of the densest urban jungles of the world, city center London, near the Victoria train station. But life is mysterious and sometimes when we are not looking for something we give space for ‘something’ to look for us. 🦁🎡💖 I am sure many of you have stories of epiphanies occurring when you least expected it. I will wrap up the series on traditional Ancestral practice speaking about each of the doorways, Personal Soul/ Spirit, Ancestors & Nature Spirits. Whilst lecturing on Ancestral practice is interesting my main focus is inspiring people to practice and rediscover their own magic, dreams & ancestors. Proceeds will go towards helping my young sangoma friend rebuild his home which was damaged by a thunderstorm in the Eastern Cape. So far we have raised over $2510. Our target is $3000. I think this also has something to do with the easing of ‘pandemic’ restrictions. I am delighted to report that my Kalahari Retreats for next year are booking up.
