Generally Psychological dreams involve our personal ego and the story of our lives; including our likes and dislikes, hurts, celebrations etc. Ancestral dreams have a different flavour. With Ancestral dreams we touch what Jung terms our ‘collective unconscious’ or the ‘hive mind’ where we are all connected. Our relationship to our ancestors opens the door to the collective unconscious and the treasure trove of human memory. We can prevent this by tuning in to the ancient more indigenous parts of ourselves that connect to the wilderness. Dreaming: As people remember their ancestors they also start to remember their dreams. A kind of soul healing happens where, like a baobab tree connecting with its roots going back 2000 years, we have the opportunity to connect to the wisdom of our human race going back eons. Like the sap of a tree it is stored in our blood and DNA.
