Dear Subscriber First Name, I can’t believe it’s been over a year since we were all together in the Kalahari Desert. It felt like a dream. What an incredible year it’s been, full of challenges for many, but also magic and beauty. I was recently asked by a national magazine (Odyssey) in South Africa to write an article about our retreats last year because it is pioneering echo-spiritual retreats in the safari industry. We are breaking new ground and we want to thank you for helping us achieve this! Here is a copy of the article. I wrote about Matsebe, meeting Alwyn etc. I am sure you will find it interesting. Alwyn and I would like to reach out to you and send you our special greetings. We appreciated our time with you and would like to let you know about an exciting project we are working on next year i.e. Dreams & Tracking 2.1. An updated version of what we did with you last year. We plan to keep to the original teaching schedule, but change the location. We have been invited to hold our retreats at a safari lodge further north, closer to Maun. The travel time would be halved. In addition to this people will get airconditioned rooms, and there is a swimming pool to dust our feet and cool us down. The game lodge is situated near a watering hole, so we will get an opportunity to meditate at sunset and watch the animals drinking. What bliss! The people who own the lodge have a close relationship to the local Khoi-San (Bushmen) community. We will get another opportunity to deepen our indigenous skills through foraging, tracking and a possible trance dance session one night. We also plan on doing a 3 day tented camping trip to the Okavango Delta for those people who want to keep adventuring. The Okavango is one of the jewels of Africa with a vast array of wildlife, and a wonderful opportunity to study bird language with Alwyn and take photographs.
